Windsor Airport is a public airport located in the city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. IATA code of the airport is YQG. The airport is closer to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. The departures and arrivals at the airport are handled by the Detroit approach control.

The airport was opened in 1928 and was known as Walker Airport after Harem Walker who was a whiskey distiller, and was originally a simple landing strip for aircraft. In 1967 it was added to National airports of Canada, as it served as a regional airport for areas between Michigan, Detroit, Ontario and London. The Ownership of the airport was transferred to Windsor City in 1998. The airport was earlier managed by Serco Aviation Services Inc., which withdrew itself in 2006 owing to the losses suffered by the airport, handing over the operations to Windsor City on July 1, 2007. Thereafter the City Council of Windsor appointed Your Quick Gateway Inc., a private operator on temporary basis until another operator is searched and appointed. However, Your Quick Gateway Inc., was given long term agreement, as it was able to Successfully manage the airport and make it profitable.

The airport provides various facilities for the passengers viz., a meal counter and vending Machine at the main and in departure area, a bar serving alcohol at departure lounge, 2 ATM Machines in terminal area near and in the domestic departure lounge and free Wi-Fi facility. Travelling kennels for the pets are also available. The airport is a smoke free zone. Taxi and bus servICE are available 24 hours a day.
