Ms. Lee Su YinOct 18, 2022 I got the Toyota Cross on July/22 and on 14/Oct/22 I heard loud cranking sound from the rear of my new car. I had to leave my car at Toyota Penang workshop (S and D Tama Malaysia S/B) on 17/Oct/22 9am. Today 18/Oct/22 workshop call and inform that the rear backbone has to be changed due to welding area with issue and depending on the spare parts might take minimal two weeks. I'm disappointed since this car is less than three months old car and the issue is a huge defect. Toyota cross has been emphasized to be a reliable car and moreover is a cross over car. Another issue is that I need to rent a car for weeks while waiting for Toyota and the Toyota workshop couldn't support to provide me a temporary car and I have to rent a car for work when this problem is not cause by me. Although part is warranty, but I still need to spent money for car rental when it's Toyota Quality failure. Really disappointed on this.

I was found of this vehicle so much that I bought second one Innova Crysta a second one as replacement. There is a known issue with this for steering and dashboard cracking. I have been chasing Toyota India to get it rectified. They are diverting me to a dealer. I have been chasing to get connected with any Toyota direct employee, but failed. I have raised this issue on India support number and email. Every time they say they will escalate it and you should get a call back in next 24 business hours. Which is failing for past three years. Recently, I was advised to change the complete clutch kit which I did. After that my car is experiencing a very bad break down. Secondly they asked me to change the wheel bearing. The local Toyota dealer tested this car in November 2015 for oil consumption and it failed. The dealer, Cecil Atkinsson, in Orange, TX 77632, put this car on their list to repair. Its been over four months since the Dealer placed a request for gaskets and pistons to repair my car and nothing is happening. The engine is getting very hot when driven just 20 minutes, and becoming very noisy. MY daughter drives this car 45 minutes to college and 45 minutes to return home every day. I am worried that this engine could catch on fire because it is so hot when driven just a short distance. Toyota is not doing what it needs to do before some catastrophic event takes place. I have contacted Toyota Customer Care several times, and all I can get from them is the run around and excuses. How could I ever buy another Toyota, just tell me.
