Mr. Daniel R. Polad SrJun 30, 2023
Dear Ogden-Examiner, My name is Dan Polad. I have been with the Standard for almost forty-years. I know you're in a predicament trying to continue to exist in a technology world. I have seen the paper shrink almost in half and cease delivery on Sunday and having a paper boy (or girl) deliver our paper. Four things I concentrate mostly is the front page, sports, obituaries and last, but not least is the comics. I have discovered how special the comic section is to me. It was a relaxer a reprieve from all of the confusion of the world. Taking the comics away from the subscribers must be a financial ordeal for the Examiner. I'm sorry, but I get no satisfaction with your new comics section. I cannot depict which comic I most liked. I guess it might be "Pickles (as it relates so well to me). How very sad. To me its a sign of a stake in the heart. I hope not, as I despise seeing another grand icon dying because of the evil monster called technology. I thank you. Daniel R. Polad Sr .
