The IVY Club is the eating club at Princeton University. It was founded in year 1879 by joining fifteen seniors from the class of 1880 who took their meals in west front room of simple brick building and the first Princeton eating club was born. It is the oldest eating club at Princeton University and the first head was Arthur Hawley Scribner. The first clubhouse was IVY Hall and was constructed as the home for Princeton Law School by Richard Stockton Field in year 1847. The club was initially known as the IVY Hall Eating Club.
