I do not understand why the state pays contractors to repair the roads when the jobs are a waste of time and money. I live on FM 933 South of Whitney, TX. There is a crew that has been "working" between Whitney and Aquilla that is wasting everything. They have laid material out and immediately grades it to the sides of the road. The sides are pushed up onto the mail boxes and ridges are two foot high on both the sides of the roadway. They have supposedly spread, packed, and topped, but the material is wasted and the topping is so thin that the old paving is seen in wearing areas. The materials are worse than the original paving. It has also caused me to fall in the road while trying to check the mail. Thank God, there was not any traffic coming at the time. I have trouble getting up when I fall and was able to move, by sliding, on my behind to the drainage pipe and get up. Because of the fall I have been in pain on my right side and have gone to the Chiropractor.
