Address of John Major
The address of John Major is Ditchley Park, Enstone, Chipping Norton, Oxon OX7 4ER, United Kingdom.
He is the only good Prime Minister Britain has had since Churchill (despite his faults); Britain used to be Great, but the professional consensus is that we have the worst health service, pay the highest taxes and receive the lowest pensions in Western Europe. Once there were $4 to £1. And originally €5 to £1. Look at things now.

I think John Major, who I always admired until his FOUR YEAR AFFAIR WITH EDWINA CURRY has a nerve. I went to London the day he was out of Parliament and felt extremely sad for him. However to hear after that he had been deceiving the country - probably whilst being in the building at no ten - to me and many others is worse than a party That’s not counting his poor wife How can he pontificate to Boris Johnson after the shame he brought on himself? What a pompous fellow to think he can criticise. People in glass houses…. Holier than though - I don’t think so.

Major was a failure as PM. Whilst preaching "family values, the eternal verities of cricket on the green, and warm beer" , etc as the moral stuff of England, he was engaged in an adulterous affair with Edwina Currie. He should have been impeached for gross moral turpitude and kicked out of politics all together. Now we witness the loathsome spectacle of him buying 'rich man justice'to deny the legitimacy of the votes of 17. four million people to leave the EU. A worse example of hypocritical and venal political behaviour you could not find. Sadly for him, as I expect he knows, he is now damned forever as a pariah in the The legacy he now has to live with in the UK is one of widespread revulsion. Him, and other moral degenerates in parliament like him, are the reason I stopped voting for the Conservative party.

I doubt my comments will reach Mr. Major, but I hope so. You were voted out years aho when you sanctioned all the sleeze in the Tory party and today you were left unchallenged by a signed off Andrew Marr who didn't challenge the lies you perpetrated
You were what my father would have called a 'wash out' before and you're clearly the same or worse now. I've already sent my mail vote in to leave the EU and hopefully you'll get a rude awaking on June 24th.

My family we refugees from Estonia in 1943 and immigrants to Canada in 1948. My father was a well educated lawyer with a responsible job in the government when Estonia was an independent country between the wars. We would have been executed or sent to Siberia if we has not escaped in a fishing boat at night in Dec 1943 ti Finland. Shortly thereafter we went to Sweden. We subsequently were sent a letter, that I still have a copy of, from the King suggesting we would like to repatriate us back to Estonia. At that time the Soviet Union was still executing Estonian and sending them to Siberia. We then pit in for immigration just about anywhere safe. Luckily Canada took us BECAUSE my father agreed to become a farm worker. That was what was needed there. My father was never able to practice law, as you can imagine. HOWEVER, we managed to make a living. My father and family never complained about our lot because we were ecstatic to live in a FREE AND DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY .

Had we listened to Mt Major before the Irag war our country would be a better place. His analysis of Brexit today is excellent - perceptive, intelligent and courageous.

A recent caller to Andrew Neil's TV show asked "if David Cameron is so pro-EU why did he promise a referendum on it? The answer is of cours, obvious. In order to defeat the Labour Government it was necessary to present a united front, and persuade the anti Europeans in the Tory party to keep quiet for long enough to achieve that. They did so and accepted plum jobs in the government undoing much of the good work the Labour government has done
I sincerely hope that, if we vote to stay in Cameron will have the courage to say we are in Europe to stay, and anyone who can not accept that should get out of the Tory party. If he had the courage to do that five years ago we would not be the laughing stock of Europe that we are now.
