The Institute of Child health was founded in 1956 by DR KC Chaudhuri in Kolkata. It was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then PM of India. It is the pioneer among the pediatric Institute in India. The Institute was founded with the aim to deliver promotive, preventive and curative Services for Children. Today it is an eminent medical center to offer medical and surgical Services to the Children. It is the 100 bed Hospital which and attends nearly one lakh Children.
