Gustav Thoni is an Italian retired World Cup alpine ski racer. He is famous for being a highly successful Italian alpine ski racer, particularly known for winning four overall World Cup titles in the early 1970s, including multiple Olympic medals (one gold and two silver), and being considered one of the greatest Italian skiers of all time; he is recognized for his dominance in giant slalom and slalom events. At the age of 14, he won the prestigious Topolino race on Mount Bondone and then joined the national team at 17.
