I have been a nurse all of my adult life, and taught nursing for years. Nurses and surgeons wear masks during surgery so they do not spew germs into surgical sites. If staff members have a cold and return to work they are advised to wear a mask for awhile. Every time we walk out of our homes we are exposed to viruses, bacteria, and many germs. People are now required to wear a mask. Viruses, germs and bacteria find their way into those masks where they are being incubated and people are breathing into their lungs. These viruses do not stop at the masks, eyes, ears, or skin, nor do they stop at the shields placed in store checkout stands. They are airborne and do not stop at six feet from anyone or anything. Many believe what is expected of us now is a way for the government to control the people and increase fear of the population. People need to breath fresh air, go to the beaches and parks without wearing masks to stay healthy. Has this country lost all reason/common sense?

If you do not stop doing stupid things Like giving money to illegal immigrants and now closing the beaches. You are going to have riots and all kinds of problems in especially Surf City Huntington Beach. I worked in Healthcare 30 years, and seriously the chance of anybody catching the virus is so low it is ridiculous. I spent the first 25 years of my life in Huntington beach. I will be going for a week in September, and a week in July. My family is there. I think if you do not rethink closing the beaches and nobody cares which excuse you use this will be the final nail in your coffin. When I see you on television Frankly I am embarrassed for you. Just think logically and stop with the damn political correctness. People arrive at the beach. More than half immediately run out to the water. Okay now any germs on them is gone. Then they relax in their chair, and eat. Then they are back in the water. And we all pee in the ocean, so forget it. Enough already open the beaches.

Mr. Gavin Newsom, have you done a study on how many people got covin 19 while on the beach? If so what did the study show? how many have the virus now? How did they get it? WHILE USING THE BEACH. Please let me know. The results of the study. I know you would not put any information out unless you had some solid numbers and results to show the public how you have arrived at your decision. You would not just say to people just do not go to the beach because you just felt that is the right thing to do. For no good reason. You are doing the very best job you know how to do.
