My account was hacked on September 2/2022 and I have spoken with the branch on numerous occasions as well as telephone banking and investors edge to resolve everything. Today I am talking with the fraud department and I'm being told that it will be resolved on September 19/2022. I was told it would take 5-10 days. Cibc didn't even know my account was hacked until I called them, where was the alert notice?very unprofessional. I've been with the bank for 32 years and this is the treatment you do not expect from any bank.

CIBC took over the Costco Master Card three billion dollar portfolio from Capital One, KABOOM it has blown up in their face, CIBC was not ready at all for such a take over, customer service personnel poorly trained and unequipped for the onslaught of problems headed their way with very limited empowerment to resolve problems, I was told that their electronic system was inflexible and inalterable, even walking in to a branch is useless they are extremely limited in resolving problems as well. I am locked out of online access to my account, absolutely nothing, it is impossible to perform normal everyday common transactions, searches or accout reviews. Standard online waiting time for customer service is 90-120 minutes before getting someone to answer you, they do not even have a call back feature letting you leave your name and number so they can call you back instead of wasting your time waiting online. I have this far spent 15 hours with customer service with absolutely 0 results.

The CIBC was successful in gaining the Costco Canada account with a CIBC Costco Master Card. The transfer of the account has not gone smoothly and we are very annoyed at the time it takes to contact their contact centre to resolve an issue- on two attempts it took almost six hours. Outrageous. The have not planned the transfer well. I am sending a letter to Ms. Dottori-Attansio with a suggestion on just one of the many issues.

Unacceptable service. I had a CIBC Master card locked while I was travelling in the US. I tried to use a CIBC Costco card in a Costco store and at a car rental. I used the pin only twice and both times was not accepted. I was not able to get through to any CIBC or Master card representatives to unlock the card. I returned back to Calgary to find I was also locked out of my on line account. Over the coarse of the last five days, I have called ten different phone numbers for CIBC and Master card, been put on hold for more than four hrs each day and I have yet to speak to one person who can help un lock this card. If I ever get through to anyone, I will cancel this card and any other connections with CIBC or Costco.

Cibc is holding my investments hostage. Disable match with the goverment plus five other accounts did paperwork on Dec 15/20 and the letter they sent to me to have it all moved by Feb3/21 plus they said they would not charge me to move them, but they did and it is over 1000. 00 plus more. Maybe I should go to the TV, radio, newspapers and marketplace on them.

This bank is the worst bank to do with they played the rasist game on my husband because he rasied his voice a bit and told them they had to go back to school. They could never tell the difference between personal and business accounts, when we told them and gave the account number to them and still kept making the same mistake every month, one month i rasied my voice about it happening and always had to come back for them to correct it, so they gave me 50 dollars to hush up. But when my husband had to come back four times in one day, he got upset and raised his voice. They cut of his cards and took his name off the accounts when he was in the united states with cov-id on and no way to get any money to get back home. His name was taken of all accounts without asking him how much money belonged to him in all the canadian and us accounts. They told us everything had to be moved out by Feb 3/21 and we signed transfer papers to get our invetments transfered plus my Goverment matched disable.
