We had a flight in August from Tulsa, Ok to Geneva, Switzerland. I could write four pages on all we went through, but suffice it to say it had nothing to do with weather and a 17 hour trip took 52 hours. We went to many different countries just to get to our final destination. We had three small children and they offered nothing. I have emailed, written corporate and hear nothing. Our huge, oversize bag, that we paid extra for, is STILL missing. This had many special things inside. I do not like the trip experience, but the worst part is AA response or lack of response. I would NEVER recommend them at this time. (to be clear, the stewardess' and pilots were lovely. This is about their administration and how they handle their mistakes. Or should I say "dont handle") I have written so many letters to corporate and called and emailed. Its disgusting the lack of response.

I had such a terrible experience with American Airlines that I will NOT recommend any one to fly with them (traveling with MINOR). Staff was not helpful at all in St Louis MO and in Charlotte NC airport, was not polite at all one blamed the text I received from American Airlines saying they didn't even understand why I received a text if they didn't even have the information on their system. Can you explain this? This is not only what happen. My fly in St Louis was delay losing my connection with Charlotte. After maybe 30 minutes or more in line, I had a very bad and unpleasant service. My 1st time doing a stop with delay and losing my connection with AA, the delay in St Louis made me go and talk to the associate who had no patience at all and was extremely disrespectful. I got to go to Charlotte, NC with the Hotel booked by AA. It was totally wrong. AA place me in the wrong hotel in Charlotte. I had to look at 11 pm a hotel and look for a transportation to the airport. Horrible.

We were two of thousands of stranded passengers on April three and 4. Our flights, along with 100's of others were cancelled, our standby flights were cancelled and eventually we got out by flying to our destination separately. The staff who helped us were so professional, friendly and caring. We waited in line for three hours after our 1st cancelled flight and the young woman who helped us was kind, caring and fun. After our 2nd flight was cancelled we stood in line for six hours and that young lady too was kind, helpful and professional. American Airlines in the face of much adversity, tired passengers and hard-to-find solution did a really great job. If anyone at American Airlines reads this I would love to give you the name of the employees, but I won't do so on this forum.

I have been contacting American Airlines since February 19, 2022 regarding a flight that was canceled because your company did not have enough staff. My flight was booked so I can make it to my mother's memorial service THAT I MISSED I have written over seven emails to their customer relations department requesting a refund. As of this day (3/07/2022) I have NOT heard from any representative of American Airlines.

Stay away from American Airlines. If the way they handle customers is any indication of how they operate their planes, it's not a safe way to fly. Because of the pandemic, I was willing to give them some slack. However, I have been run-around in circles, spent hours on the phone, been lied to, denied a refund without explanation, and on and on it goes. It's really sad to see a once great company operate in such a deceitful manner. I feel sorry for the people working the phones who have to regurgitate such lies.

Will never use again. Been trying to issue a complaint this airline should be ashamed of their lack of all around customer service. We were forced to check a carry on that would have fit under the seat in front of us and as a result a persoanal item was damaged beyond repair. Need item to be replaced soon. Been unable to reach a human to get mailing address for the President of your airline as well as your head office.

I, my family, friends, and our business have all used American exclusively for years. Thanx to their socialist stance on supporting this never ending covid hoax, and also putting their nose into policies about voting, we have found a different airline. Me and mine can live without American while they jump on the political platform and support organizations like BLM, who subdue the importance of black men, and wish to dismantle the nuclear family, run by marxists, and cause violence. Bye-bye why do i have to choose a gender? none of your business, and maybe i am gender confused. You back that too i would guess. Even tho less than five percent of the population identifies with that.

Today, Jan four, 2021, My grandson who is a 18 year old United States Marine was on one of your flights. He came home for Christmas leave. When he left out of Birmingham, AL to Jacksonville, NC, he and another Marine were upgraded and allowed to sit in First Class. I, as a Army and Air Force Veteran just wanted to say "THANK YOU" for this upgrade. My grandson felt like he was something when he was seated in First Class. He knew that he was appreciated for his service to this country. I hope that this is a standard practice for American Airlines and hope that it continues. I wish that all airlines if there's empty seats in First Class would do this for our military members, because they deserve it. Again, thank you and God bless.

I used AA to from NY to Miami, FL in July 2019 and it was the worst ever. From NY to Miami, they did not put enough fuel in the plane and we were diverted so they could refuel, delayed for 45 minutes, flew to Miami and we were late so we nearly missed our cruise connection. Returning from Miami to NY, we had a 45 min delay to board, then after we were aboard the plane, we sat at the gate for 2-1/2 hrs., moved on to the tarmac and sat there for another 45 minutes and then were told we were going back to the gate and the flight was cancelled. We were told to go to the AA counter and rebook. After that, they said the planes were full to JFK and therefore we were put on standby from 2:30 pm until one am in the morning, and ended up having to book a hotel for two days, earliest flight back to NY. AA did not even offer a food coupon or transportation. AA GAVE US NOTHING AND THEIR AGENTS WERE RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AND WALKED OFF AND LEFT US STRANDED.

Today, October 5th 2018 My sister was to go to Utah for a Free Fight convention with her bird. She had been in contact with the animal controllers and was never told that in the cage of the bird there had to be a perch. So, she hurried to get a perch put in and was back in half an hour. Then she was told that the temperature in Fort Worth (her exchange) was 87degrees 2degrees higher than was permitted. She was devastated for they told her she could not fly. But, she had been told that the pet area was temperature controlled in previous calls. They refused to allow her to travel and she had to cancel her flight. Now they want to charge her a $200 fee. This is outrageous since they are the ones who would not allow her to fly. It seems to me that this was their objective, the $200 fee. She had looked forward to this for a year. The attendants had no sympathy what so ever for her. They did not even try to apologize.

I have been an Advantage member almost since it started. 1127016 Recently my wife and I planned a trip to Portland Maine using some of my mileage. Unfortunately she became very ill and had emergency surgery Sunday night. We had planned to leave Monday am and I obviously had to cancel the trip. To my surprise I was hit with a $175 charge to return my mileage and lost all the money that I had spent on seat upgrades. Now I have flown a lot of miles on American, but very since the airline financial problems of about a decade ago your quality of service has gone down hill. I still fly a great deal however I avoid AA at all costs because of many reasons including comfort, service of flight attendants, and cost. I got a full refund from everyone else. Why not American Airlines?

American Airline is not the same airline I had used for years. It changed within the last three or so years. Customer Service is the worst I have ever seen with any company. WalMart ranks higher than American. American has been very well known for going above and beyond for the American vet and service members, I believe it is time to help this Vet out.

My wife took a flight from Dallas to Las Vegas. The plane was filthy. My wife arrived in Las Vegas with food ground into her pants and shirt. Your Customer Relations WOULD NOT make this right. I used 60K FFM to get her there only to get a $50 voucher. What? After numerous emails, I have received two phone calls where the rep was rude, they interrupted me when I was talking and was hung up on both times when I told them their solution was not acceptable. I asked to get transferred to a manager and was refused seven times. Make this right.

Help Please I am emailing from Australia in the hope that American Airlines would consider donating 2 adults round trip tickets from Albany to Florida (Tampa). This would be for Mr and Mrs Dave Curl of Lake Luzerne, New York who have suffered many hardships in the past few years. Mrs Curl's daughter was murdered approximately 32 years ago in South Dakota and has suffered chronic health conditions ever since and unimaginable heartache. Her husband is extremely unwell at present with serious Kidney problems and his long term prognosis is not good. His only wish is that he can visit his son in Florida who he has not seen for many years. Would you please email me at the above email a contact at AA who I could email in relation to this request. Many thanks in advance. Louise Dougherty, Community Services Australia

My son-in-law, Jonathan Puhalla booked round trip from Denver to Ft. Walton Beach on 9/9/16 to meet our daughter and family. Our daughter is five months pregnant and her doctor was emphatic about her not going to Florida due to the Zika virus. She was booked on Southwest and United. SW gave her a full refund and United a full refund except for $50. Jonathan called AA and was told he would get no refund. I followed up on his behalf and ended up with some person in "Customer Care" named Tracy. She told me no refund. She said that was "executive mgts decision, which I do not believe. I asked if there were exceptions to policy. To add insult to injury she told me that "in this case there is no exception". That confirms my suspicion that if I had some stroke with AA Jonathan would get a full refund. Growing up in Dallas I had always touted AA and flown it even if it cost a little more. That attitude is gone. I will make sure none of my family and/or good friends will use AA.

AMERICAN AIRLINES, U A S. Dear Sir,
Good Day,
After failing to get a convincing reply from American Airlines staff members under your command, we thought it proper to write to you directly, so that our grievances are addressed to our satisfaction, within your discretionary powers
We two Senior Citizen 75+, are members of your Global Team. We are your VALUED CUSTOMERS as well. We travel your AIRLINES since 1995, last we traveled in 2013 Sept/ Oct. / Nov. and earned miles. In Oct. / Nov. 2015 we traveled to AUS. / NZ., on checking with your staff, we were advised to take YOUR ONE WORLD PARTNER --- QANTAS for flying from Mumbai To AUS/ NZ. and back, which we did, as we were convinced that ONE WORLD PARTNER MILES EARNED CAN BE COMBINED TO GET DESIRED REWARDS. A few weeks back I needed information on a flight I had taken back in the Fall of 2015. I kept calling to get the information I needed for a very important private matter and kept being told no they couldn't help me. Finally I got a very nice, helpful and professional person by the name Mohamed
Qureshi from Phoenix Arizona help me get all the information I needed. He should be promoted as all the other times I called everyone came from a place of no - he gave exceptional customer service. Mary Brown

I ordered my ticket on June 3. 2016 and they took the money out of my bank that day. For a one way ticket from LAX to Fayetteville. N. C. For June 14. 2016. Then on June 7. 2016 took out the cost of the ticket AGAIN. Yet I have to wait 7-10 days to get the cash put back in my account. I'm angry as hell. It's ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AHOLD OF AMERICAN AIRLINES CORPORATE OFFICE. AS WELL AS SOME OF THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE AREN'T VERY HELPFUL OR NICE.

Once again, American Airlines disappoints. They sent a travel warning message about travel through Dallas. In trying to get to a grandchild's high school graduation I suggested several options to them like flying to Omaha and then I'd rent a car and drive to Sioux Falls, SD. They would not accommodate or consider this idea. Then when I asked to speak to a supervisor they hung up on me. I'm not happy with treatment. I'm a platinum for life traveler and AA is not reasonable.

The worst experience I have ever had at an airport hands down. Will never fly American again. No one knows anything about the flight. We were cancelled, moved, moved again, filling with no a single person knows anything about the flight. NOW we have been moved again, have a plane and NO CREW We have all been here since six last night Done with American Airlines forever and will do everything I can to steer everyone away from you. I'm sick of this and so is the rest of the flight.

you going to sue American Airlines because we changed my flight and they got me to a destination and then when it's time for me to go home they claim I owe a thousand something dollars and won't let me take my flight and while I was talking with a manager she said she don't care
