Aleksandr Vladimirovich Popov, better known as Alexander Popov, is a Russian former swimmer. Competed in three consecutive Olympic Games and set a total of seven World Record. Earned a total of nine medals at the Olympics, four of which are gold. Won six World Championship and 21 European Championship titles between 1991-2004. His World Championship record saw him win gold six times, silver four times, and bronze once between 1994 and 2003.
